Lo ha annunciato il Presidente dellâAula Manfredi Palmeri, esprimendo il proprio cordoglio ai familiari.
âMilano " ha detto il Presidente Palmeri " perde una protagonista del mondo della cultura e del sociale. Teresa Pomodoro era stata insignita della Medaglia dâOro del Comune il 7 dicembre del 2005, giorno di SantâAmbrogio, con una motivazione che ne sottolineava il profondo impegno artistico sempre orientato al bene comuneâÂ.
âRegista e drammaturga " ha aggiunto il Presidente Manfredi Palmeri, citando le parole che accompagnarono il conferimento della Civica Benemerenza nel 2005 " Teresa Pomodoro ha vissuto la propria arte al servizio degli umili e degli emarginati. Presente da molti anni nelle carceri milanesi, ha realizzato spettacoli con i detenuti, ricevendo unanime apprezzamento. Convinta sostenitrice della funzione pedagogica del bello, è stata fondatrice dellâassociazione NoâHma per un teatro come passione sociale. Ha creato lo spazio di via Orcagna, luogo di animazione sociale e centro di ricerca e di sperimentazione artisticaâÂ.
