Si è tenuta nella mattina di oggi, presso il Dipartimento della Protezione Civile, una riunione convocata al fine di affrontare alcuni aspetti legati all’esecuzione degli interventi infrastrutturali eseguiti presso l’isola della Maddalena, sede originaria del Vertice internazionale G8 2009. All’incontro hanno preso parte rappresentanti del Ministero dell’Ambiente, della Regione Autonoma della Sardegna, dell’Autorità d’Ambito della Sardegna, del Comune de La Maddalena, della società Abbanoa SpA e della Mita Resort SpA.

La riunione, presieduta dal Capo del Dipartimento, Franco Gabrielli, ha permesso di approfondire, tra l’altro, le vicende legate alla completa funzionalità delle condotte idriche, del potabilizzatore e depuratore de La Maddalena e la tempistica degli interventi di bonifica nell’area marina dell’ex Arsenale. Gli stessi intervenuti hanno sottolineato gli sforzi compiuti per bonificare una zona che, prima dei lavori, era fortemente compromessa a livello ambientale.

Nel corso dell’incontro, la società Abbanoa si è impegnata - a partire dalla giornata di domani - ad avviare le operazioni di gestione dell’impianto di potabilizzazione e depurazione delle acque e il Dipartimento della Protezione Civile ha confermato che entro la fine del mese di aprile 2011 saranno portate a termine sia le attività di collaudo tecnico amministrativo del complesso impiantistico sia le operazioni di bonifica nell’area marina dell’ex Arsenale.
