Bologna Aeroporto: Intercettato traffico illecito di pelli animali protetti

Un senegalese cercava di importare pelli di serpente e coccodrillo

Bologna - Corpo Forestale - Durante una serie di controlli finalizzati al contrasto di traffici illeciti, i funzionari dell’Ufficio delle Dogane di Bologna presso l’ Aeroporto G.Marconi, unitamente al locale Nucleo Operativo CITES del Corpo Forestale dello Stato, hanno fermato e sottoposto a controllo un cittadino senegalese in arrivo dalla Guinea via Marocco.

Il passeggero è risultato in possesso di un totale di 21 pezzi tra pelli intere di coccodrillo e pitone e altri oggetti in pelle di coccodrillo.La merce non era accompagnata da alcuna documentazione autorizzati.

Trattandosi di specie protette dalla Convenzione di Washington, la tentata introduzione, in mancanza della documentazione prevista, è punibile con una sanzione fino a 30mila euro.Le pelli di pitone rinvenute superavano i 3 metri di lunghezza; la più grande misurava quasi 5 metri.

Le pelli di coccodrillo raggiungevano, invece il metro e 80 cm. La merce è stata sottoposta a confisca per violazione dell’art. 1 e 2 della legge 150/1992.
