Anggun:IL NUOVO SINGOLO “SAVIOUR” (in radio) SARÙ LA COLONNA SONORA DEL FILM “TRANSPORTER 2”

Il nuovo singolo di Anggun, “Saviour”, tratto dall’ultimo album “Luminescence” (prodotto in Italia dalla Carosello Records) è da oggi in rotazione in tutte le radio e in vendita al prezzo speciale di 3,90 euro.
“Luminescence”, uscito lo scorso maggio, ha già venduto più di 35.000 copie e si appresta a diventare disco d’oro.
“Saviour” è stato, inoltre, scelto come colonna sonora del film “Transporter 2” prodotto da Luc Besson, che annovera tra i suoi protagonisti anche Alessandro Gassman.
“Transporter 2”, nelle sale italiane da gennaio 2006, è già un film campione di incassi in America e in Europa.
Anggun nasce a Giakarta (Indonesia). Il suo nome significa “grazia che appare in sogno”. È considerata una bambina prodigio, il suo primo progetto musicale lo concepisce all’età di 9 anni. A 12 inizia a collaborare con il produttore Ian Antono per diversi album che tra il 1986 e il 1993 conquistano le classifiche del suo paese.
Nel 1995 si trasferisce prima a Londra e successivamente a Parigi.
Nel 1997 il suo brano “Snow On The Sahara” diventa il singolo dell’anno più trasmesso dalle radio francesi: entra subito al numero 1 nelle classifiche in Spagna, in Italia e nell’est asiatico; e tra le prime cinque posizioni nella classifica dell’UK Club.
“Snow On The Sahara” è anche il titolo dell’album di debutto che raggiunge la Top 20 della classifica del Billboard’s Heat Seekers in America e viene distribuito in 33 Paesi.
Anggun viene considerata l’artista asiatica che ha realizzato in assoluto più vendite al di fuori del proprio continente: una vera star internazionale che conquista Europa, Italia, Spagna, Asia dell’est, Giappone e molti altri Paesi.
Nel 1999 viene nominata miglior artista emergente al French Music Awards. Il suo primo album conquista un doppio Oro in Francia, un doppio Platino in Italia, un Oro a Singapore, un Oro in Svizzera, un Platino in Malesia, tre Platini in Indonesia, e vende duecentomila copie negli Stati Uniti.
Anggun colleziona molti premi internazionali, fra cui World Music Awards, MTV-Awards, Top of the Pops, Silver Screen Awards, Woman Inspire Awards.
Visita numerosi paesi e incontra anche il Papa nella Città del Vaticano per un concerto speciale insieme a Dionne Warwick.
Nel 2000 esce il suo secondo album “Crysalis” che si aggiudica, in una sola settimana, il disco d’oro in Italia e in molti altri Paesi asiatici. Il singolo “Still Reminds Me” raggiunge la Top 5 nella classifica del Music&Media European Borders Breaker. Nello stesso anno riceve il “ Cosmopolitan Asia Woman Award” e subito dopo il “Woman Inspired Award”.
Nel 2002 duetta con la rockstar italiana Piero Pelù, nel brano “Amore Immaginato” che raggiunge e mantiene per più di due mesi il primo posto nella classifica nazionale italiana delle canzoni più trasmesse
Nel gennaio 2003 incontra il Ministro della Cultura francese e riceve il prestigioso Premio Diamante per le vendite raggiunte fuori dalla Francia, oltre 1.200.000 copie (uno dei maggior casi di successo di vendita di musica francese all’estero, insieme ad altri artisti come Daft Punk, Air, Manu Chao). Il Ministro le conferisce anche la prestigiosa nomina di “Cavaliere delle Arti e delle Lettere” per i risultati raggiunti in tutto il mondo e il suo supporto alla cultura francese. Anggun ha fatto anche parte del progetto di beneficenza chiamato “Gaia”, insieme a superstar internazionali come Midnight Oil, Zucchero e Cesare Evoria.
