Palmeri ricorda in Aula Mila Schön, Ambasciatrice dello stile di Milano nel mondo

Milano " “Ambasciatrice dello stile e dell’eleganza di Milano nel mondo, Mila Schön ha contribuito all’affermazione della moda e della creatività italiane”.
Con queste parole il Presidente del Consiglio comunale Manfredi Palmeri ha voluto ricordare in Aula la stilista alla presenza dei familiari, ricordando che “proprio quest’anno ricorre il 50° anniversario della sua straordinaria carriera. Un impegno riconosciutole non solo dagli addetti ai lavori ma anche dal grande pubblico e dal Comune, che le ha conferito la Medaglia d’Oro il 7 dicembre del 1987 e che, proprio venerdì 19, ha inaugurato a Palazzo Reale una mostra a lei dedicata”.
Accanto a Mila Schön, il Presidente Palmeri ha commemorato Monsignor Pietro Zerbi, benemerito di Milano, Medaglia d’Oro nel 1996: “Studioso di fama internazionale, docente emerito di Storia medioevale all’Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, è stato un esempio per i giovani, cui ha trasmesso l’amore per il passato e per la cultura della nostra città ”.
Ricordando Enore Deotto, fondatore e presidente per 15 anni di Smau, Medaglia d’Oro nel 1996, il Presidente Palmeri ha detto: “Ha legato il proprio nome alla mostra-mercato dell’informatica come vettore di sviluppo della new economy in Italia e all’estero. Sotto la sua guida, questa realtà milanese aperta al mondo è divenuta un punto di riferimento del mercato internazionale, permettendo al nostro Paese di tenere il passo in un settore strategico a livello globale”.
Il Presidente Manfredi Palmeri ha voluto dedicare un momento di raccoglimento alla memoria di Primo Romeo Priotto, che il 5 settembre scorso ha sacrificato la propria vita per salvare due fratellini di 8 e 10 anni sul punto di annegare nelle acque dell’Adriatico. “Per noi " ha detto Palmeri " questo nostro concittadino-eroe, benemerito nei fatti, sarà sempre di esempio come uomo buono e coraggioso, la cui generosità ha commosso non solo Milano ma l’intero Paese”.
Un minuto di silenzio è stato dedicato anche alle vittime di via Lomellina: Francesco Orlando di 7 anni, Tommaso Giancola di 69 anni, Esmeralda Sfolcini di 49 anni, Ilir Jaku di 27 anni. “È stata ed è un’enorme tragedia " ha concluso il Presidente Palmeri " che ha lasciato una ferita fisica e morale profonda nella città . Milano e il suo Consiglio comunale non la dimenticano, pensando alle vittime e ai loro familiari che cercano ancora giustizia, verità e ricostruzione: cose necessarie ma, purtroppo, insufficienti per riavere ciò che si è perso”.
