Ripresa dei colloqui fra la Santa Sede e l’OLP

CITtà DEL VATICANO: La Sala Stampa della Santa Sede ha reso pubblico, nella mattinata del 9 Dicembre, il seguente Comunicato:

“Sono ripresi stamani, a Ramallah, presso la sede del Presidente palestinese, S.E. Signor Mahmoud Abbas, i colloqui fra la Santa Sede e l’Organizzazione per la Liberazione della Palestina (OLP) in seguito all’Accordo Fondamentale del 2000. I colloqui sono volti al conseguimento di un accordo internazionale complessivo che regoli e promuova la presenza e le attività della Chiesa Cattolica nei Territori Palestinesi, per rafforzare le speciali relazioni tra la Santa Sede e l’OLP“.

“I colloqui sono stati presieduti congiuntamente da Monsignor Ettore Balestrero, Sotto-Segretario per i Rapporti con gli Stati, e dal Signor Ziad Al-Bandak, Consigliere del Presidente per le Relazioni con i Cristiani. I colloqui si sono svolti in un’atmosfera cordiale“.

“Entrambe le Parti hanno concordato di stabilire un gruppo di lavoro che elabori il summenzionato accordo complessivo“.

“La Delegazione della Santa Sede era composta dall’Arcivescovo Antonio Franco, Delegato Apostolico a Gerusalemme e in Palestina; dal Vescovo Salim Sayegh, Vicario Generale del Patriarcato Latino ad Amman; dal Monsignor Maurizio Malvestiti, Sotto-Segretario della Congregazione per le Chiese Orientali; dal Monsignor Alberto Ortega, Officiale della Segreteria di Stato; dal Monsignor Waldemar Sommertag, Consigliere della Delegazione Apostolica a Gerusalemme; dal Dottor Ghassan Faramand, Consigliere Legale e dal Padre Emil Salayta, Presidente del Tribunale Ecclesiastico in Gerusalemme“.

“La Delegazione Palestinese era composta dal Dottor Nabil Shath, Membro del Comitato Centrale; dal Signor Nimer Hamad, Consigliere del Presidente; dall’Ambasciatore Shawqi Armali; dal Dottor Ramzi Khouri, Capo del Fondo Nazionale Palestinese; dal Dottor Bernard Sabella, Membro del Consiglio Legislativo Palestinese; e dal Signor Issa Kassissieh, Vice-Capo del Dipartimento per i Negoziati“.
