Roma: Il Dipartimento di Scienze Cardiovascolari, Respiratorie e Morfologiche dell’Università “Sapienza“ di Roma- Policlinico Umberto I Roma, diretto dal Professor Francesco Fedele, sotto il patrocinio della Società Italiana di Cardiologia (SIC) e dell’Istituto Mediterraneo per la Telematica in Sanità (I.M.T.E.S.), organizza un Evento Internazionale che si terrà ad Erice (Tp) presso il Centro Ettore Majorana, il 29-30 Settembre 2008 dal titolo: “E-Cardiologia Conference del Mediterraneo“.
Il programma della Conference presenta una completa ed aggiornata rassegna delle applicazioni e delle reti di Telecardiologia nelle principali Nazioni del bacino del Mediterraneo, confrontando le diverse esperienze al fine di stilare degli standard operativi per l’applicazione della telecardiologia nella pratica clinica. Tra i relatori invitati, saranno presenti autorevoli esponenti della cardiologia nazionale ed internazionale, le cui relazioni saranno sottoposte a un dibattito, guidato da riconosciute personalità nel campo della telecardiologia e dell’e-learning.
La tematica della Conference si inserisce pienamente nella problematica recentemente sollevata in ambito governativo della stretta interconnessione assistenziale tra Ospedale e territorio. Le tecnologie attualmente a disposizione se utilizzate appropriatamente potrebbero costituire “l’uovo di Colombo“ per realizzare un'efficiente rete che colleghi i vari presidi sanitari e che fornisca prestazioni ottimali anche a domicilio del paziente. Attraverso la rete e le tecnologie informatiche possono essere divulgate non soltanto informazioni relative ai parametri vitali dei pazienti, ma anche veicolati contenuti formativi, non solo per gli addetti ai lavori, ma anche per la popolazione, con notevole impatto sociale.
La conferenza rappresenterà anche il banco di prova per l’utilizzo delle più moderne tecnologie per la comunicazione terrestre e satellitare, dando la possibilità , ad un audience potenzialmente vastissimo, di seguire e partecipare a distanza all’evento. A tal fine il Centro Majorana di Erice sarà in collegamento con le sedi regionali della Società Italiana di Cardiologia, le sedi Ospedaliere Italiane del network Hospital Consulting e le sedi Universitarie di Libia, Egitto e Grecia proponendosi come il punto di riferimento italiano per l’interscambio culturale nel bacino del Mediterraneo.
